Ryan, you nailed it.

I recently started running with a friend to train for a marathon. The time commitment leaves very little opportunity for my solitary runs. I’m finding my creativity feels stagnant, I'm not feeling refreshed, and I’m missing my solo running.

I didn't realize until I read this today what I was trying to pinpoint. All I could think of was how much I missed quick, alone running, and my frustration at feeling uninspired, despite my enjoyment of the marathon process with my friend.

You're right, that is when I do some of my best thinking. The connection between it all makes a lot of sense. Thank you as always for your insight.

I'm here trying to drop some life rocks, and pick up a few nice ones. I'm raising kids, and planting seeds, while I attempt to become zen.
